MkulimaOS started on a coffee estate in the Nyeri highlands of Kenya. The founder needed a better way to mark attendance, compute piece-rate wages with the correct statutory deductions, and pay 24 pickers without driving to a bank. That problem is now solved — and running in production every month.
The platform is multi-vertical by design. We built it to work for coffee, poultry, dairy, herbs, greenhouses, and mixed farms — because East African agriculture does not fit a single mould. Every pack shares the same HR and payroll core; the vertical layer adapts the records, terminology, and reports to match the operation.
